Facilities
The original buildings are still in use and the old hospital building houses the junior hostels, sick bay, administrative offices, occupational- and physiotherapy and a computer room. The nurses' home is in use as the senior hostels. School classrooms, a psychology office and speech therapy rooms were added on, rather haphazardly, through the years. This leads to the fact that not all facilities are always ideal for the activities they are currently used for.
Sports facilities were developed and the school has a 25 meter swimming pool with change rooms and a small indoor room that can be used as a gymnasium. There is a tennis court, netball court and a rather underdeveloped athletics field.
The school hostels provide accommodation for about 80 learners who live too far away to attend school as day students. House mothers and general assistants take excellent care of them and give much needed assistance to disabled learners who experience problems with activities of daily living.
