Sponsor a Child
The following system works quite well: We provide you with the following information regarding children who need support:
- A photograph
- Name
- Gender
- Age
- Disability
- Reason why we think child needs assistance. For example, no income in family, AIDS orphan, high medical costs, etc.
- We also provide a short description of child's personality, abilities, dreams and aspirations.
Our Responsibility
We undertake to liaise with donor, and to supply continuous information re. Progress of the child, and what the money that was donated, was spent on. Money donated to "adopted" children normally goes towards payment of school fees, hostel fees, transport to enable the child to visit the family, medical costs and the provision of basic needs like school stationary, toilet articles and clothes. A special trust fund is opened in the child's name, as part of the school fund, and it is available at all times for inspection by the donor.
Sometimes people like to assist a child on a continuous basis, while other people prefer to make a once off donation towards something special e.g. Clothes, toys or anything they like to specify. We will accept anything on behalf of a child.
